About:

My ceramic practice returns to the volcanic landscape of my childhood in Kamchatka, where everyday life unfolds against silhouettes of volcanoes and lava fields. The feeling of vast space and my own smallness is transformed in enlarged pods and vessel-like forms: small natural motifs become almost monumental, and the scale is slightly shifted.

For me, nature (pods)  is not decoration but a metaphor for human experience. Rough, eroded outer “skins” and more luminous, smoother interiors make visible the tension between what we show to the world and what remains inside. Pod and seed-like forms, moving from dense, enclosed youth to open, porous structures, echo cycles of growth, loss and inner change. I aim to create objects that invite quiet, personal contemplation of transformation.
